Dirty humor are rarely heard in public. These are types of jokes which are considered to be of poor taste and of vulgar contents. These types of humor may often be insulting to a society's existing moral standards and norms. These jokes are often about topics related to sex, gender, and taboos. It could cover topics about dead baby jokes, domestic violence and abuse, sexual abuse of minor children, and other related topics. The humor might also contain dirty messages about comparison of races and culture.
Although dirty humor may have contents which are unpleasant, these have been slowly accepted in the many societies today, because aside from it is entertaining, it can also contain editorial messages which can provoke and stimulate the people's minds to think and formulate public opinions regarding economic, political, cultural, and social issues. This humor is often used by comedian to induce laughter by providing some sort of surprise and shock to its audience.
Dirty humor were naturally designed for adults only because of its contents that may inflict confusion to the unfertile minds of the young children and young people. That is why many moralists suggest that upon speaking dirty humor, one must be conscious enough to explain the humor well to the young listeners to avoid its negative effect to their well-being. If possible do not let young people hear these off-color humor.
